How to agree on Marketplace

How you agree on a charter

KeelTruth connects skippers and boat owners. You coordinate the deal together; the steps below show exactly what happens on the platform and what happens outside it.

  1. 1

    Listing published

One party posts dates, role, vessel type, compensation, and details in the ad text.

  2. 2

    Apply and open a thread

The interested party sends an application message through KeelTruth. A private thread opens on the listing page — not realtime chat, but you can exchange messages while the listing is active.

  3. 3

    Owner notified

The listing owner receives an email and sees the application on this listing page.

  4. 4

    Accept or decline

The owner clicks Accept or Decline for each application. Only one accepted booking is typical per listing week.

  5. 5

Agree trip details in the thread

After Accept, continue in the message thread. KeelTruth does not share your email or phone automatically. If you want direct contact, write it in a message yourself — knowingly and at your own choice.

  6. 6

    Rate each other

After the trip (or once you have agreed and met in person), both parties can leave a verified rating linked to this booking.

Not WhatsApp — async messages

Messages are not realtime. Only verified signed-in users on this listing can post. We show nickname and photo, never your address or phone from your profile. Contact details appear only if you type them into a message.

If you posted the listing

Check applications on your listing page. Read the thread with each applicant, then Accept or Decline. After Accept, agree details in the thread. KeelTruth never sends your email or phone automatically.

If you want the job / skipper

Write a clear application: who you are, experience, and questions. A message thread opens on the listing page. Share email or phone only if you choose to include them in a message.
